Rema is back. But this time, back with a flash to the past. She settles for a retro-theme in this music video and gets to play out all the scenes in one static location. It is with this one venue that Rema makes a grand attempt to tell a story.

It is a story of a man who has got Rema addicted. As the story is told, visual comparisons are made. We look at the big-mouthed Arnold, the kind of man that speaks volumes about every shilling he spends. He brags about his generosity.

There is also a constant to the dances, they provide the transitions from scene to scene. In Rema’s attempt to get us to the past, she forgets that one also ought to leave a memorable statement. This video is not average, but it is not memorable. It is not as addictive as the man whom Rema sings about. Perhaps it did not aim for the sky, and thus missed it anyway.

2. MTN UG Hip-Hop Awards Happening Today

Today is going to be a big day for the Hip Hop fraternity in Uganda. It is the day that the best rappers are going to be recognized in the annual MTN UG Hip-Hop awards. It will take place at the MTN headquarters starting at 5 pm till late.

The Awards recognize some of Uganda’s best Hip Hop acts for their work and achievements.

This is going to be the 6th edition of the prestigious awards and it seeks to celebrate and amplify the growth of the hip-hop music industry which is predominantly composed of the youth in Uganda.

The Hip Hop fraternity has always been placed between the street corners, all the way to the glossy lighting of the stadium. This is not going to just be an award ceremony but revelers will have a chance to watch some of their biggest artiste perform while rap battles will also take centre stage during the evening.
