[Photos:] Kim Kardashian’s Lavish 40th Birthday Takes The Internet By Storm

Kim Kardashian recently celebrated her 40^th birthday along with her entire family at a private island where they held the celebrations. So many aspects of the day took the internet by storm, from Kim’s banging body in bikini shots, to the fact that they had a whole island to themselves. The latter caused a bit of an uproar online when one of her tweets was under scrutiny.

She stated that, “After 2 weeks of multiple health screens and asking everyone to quarantine, I surprised my closest inner circle with a trip to a private island where we could pretend things were normal just for a brief moment in time.” This seemed to set off Twitter as the replies poured in, criticizing her for being unabashedly privileged with no consideration for other people who were struggling but couldn’t take time off to “pretend things were normal”.

She seems unbothered at the moment, continuing to post family photos that include Rob Kardashian, Kourtney and Khloe as well as momager Kris Jenner. Not all her family was there (or in pictures) as hubby Kanye West and almost-billionaire sis Kylie Jenner were notably MIA.
