[Photos:] Celebrities Are Even More Obsessed with This Viral FaceApp Than Us
Everyone wants to know how they will look when their older right? I can see how figuring out how good (or bad) we’re bound to look when we’re old and grey is a little comforting. Maybe you can see where problematic areas are bound to happen and take care of them before it gets too late. Many are doing it for simple fun, and some to play pranks on their friends, but we couldn’t help but notice celebrities joining in on the wave. Many posted their photo transformations on social media, but I noticed that many female celebrities weren’t so quick to jump on the trend… hmm.. wonder why?
FaceApp is an Artificial Intelligence application that takes your photos and automatically edits them to include wrinkles, grey hair and dusty coloured eyes. All the good stuff that old age awaits for us with. There has, however been a risk realised with using the app. It was found that all that fun comes with the approval to use all the photos in your gallery, sensitive information like your IP address and usernames, and allows them to use this information as they see fit. Oh, and another thing? It’s made by Russians, so like, we’re doomed. But we had fun while we were at it, no?
I personally wouldn’t use the app, not because of the security risks but like, I want to surprise myself 50 years from now. I might do a FaceApp change and disappoint myself in some years when I look like some other creature.
I want to wake up with the skin on my elbow lightly grazing the floor and white eyebrows, look in the mirror and be like “still a bad bitch.”
For those who used it, I’m here to laugh at. I couldn’t even recognise Spice Diana! Let’s get to the photos so you can see for yourself:
