Pepsi gives Retired Teacher His Sala Puleesa Toyota Noah
John Peter Oduch-okwall, a 71-year old retired teacher from Agwata sub-county in Dokolo district, became the second winner of a Toyota Noah van in the on-going Sala Puleesa promotion by Crown Beverages Limited (CBL), the bottler of Mirinda, Pepsi, Mountain Dew, 7UP and Evervess. The first winner was Abel Mukeera a bar owner in Kitintale.
The retired teacher who taught at Uganda Technical College, Lira was overwhelmed by this life changing win when he was approached by Pepsi officials to give him his prize.
“I now feel much young, I now feel am 50 years old. I had never believed in these things until today, thank you Pepsi, you have turn my life round,” said a teary Oduch.
Oduch won during the second draw of the Sala Puleesa promotion which took place on the Sunday night of September 18, 2016.
A team from Crown Beverages Limited represented by Berna Kizza the brand manager Pepsi handed over the vehicle to Oduch- Okwall in Agwata Sub County, (Wednesday September 21, 2016).
“We have given him a car from his preferred soft drink Mountain Dew. He is very excited and we are equally happy for him,” said Kizza.
The second live draw also saw four other lucky consumers win big from the Sala Puleesa promotion. Muwanguzi Rogers, a property broker from Kansanga won the motorbike while 22-year old Mugarura Asadu from Salaama Road, Derrick Ayiko from Namuwongo and Nantongo Aisha, a 36 year old nurse from Kasangati each winning a smart phone.
