Pearl Makeup is All the Rage Right Now-Here Are 5 Styles You Can Draw Inspiration From

"We love it WAY more than we thought we would"

The latest pearl trend has nothing to do with jewelry, it’s all about using the little iridescent bulbs on your face. Yep, you heard that right, and you only need to take one look at Instagram to see just how much the look is taking off.

Makeup artists, beauty editors, and influencers alike are using pearls to create a variety of looks, from casual every day (as everyday as wearing pearls on your face can be) to elaborate facial artwork. Below are some looks you can draw inspiration from courtesy of Mona Faces:

How to apply pearl makeup According to Glamour Magazine:

Using a waterproof glue such as eyelash glue, and then applying a dot to the back to the pearl. “Wait 30 seconds for glue to get tacky and press onto skin for 10 seconds so it’s firmly in place,”
“For longevity do not have any oils on the skin. If you’re applying over foundation, make sure area is dry by powdering, it’s first.”

Removing the pearls is just as easy as applying them: “All you need to do is use your usual makeup remover and gently peal away removing any excess glue on skin. Ensure you moisturise area well after.” Draw attention to your eyes, you can use anything sparkly, so let your imagination go wild with sequins, glitter or even holographic star confetti.
