Nicholas Coutts, Renowned South African Designer, Has Died

One of South Africa’s top designers, Nicholas Coutts, renowned for his eponymous design brand, has died.

It is not yet clear what caused his demise, but fashion lovers and fans of the designer woke up to the news. They have since taken to social media to share their loss and grief.

“O dear Nic, you were our rising star. Im (sic) lost for words as I don’t want to accept this. You had so much to give still and were way too young to go. It’s truly a sad day for us , your family, friends and the industry. You are among the stars now and will always be remembered as one. Much Love always,” one fan wrote on the designer’s Instagram page.

Coutts will be remembered for his fresh contemporary aesthetic.
