MSCHF’s Latest Miniature Handbag Will Have You Questioning Your Eyesight!

Would you buy this bag?

MSCHF the brand that brought us the all-famous big red boots and the Lil Nas Xbloody sneakers is at it again with a miniature bag that will have you squinting for dear life just to see what you will be holding, the green bag that is modeled after a luxury Louis Vuitton Handbag is called the Microscopic Handbag, and is made of photopolymer resin that measures 657 by 222 by 700 micrometers. (For scale, that’s comparable to about a speck of dust.) Smaller than a grain of sea salt and narrow enough to pass through the eye of a needle, this is a purse so small you’ll need a microscope to see it.

It will first be displayed in a sealed gel case and pre-mounted beneath a microscope on public view at the 8 Avenue Matignon gallery in Paris from June 20 to June 24. Then it will make its way into the Just Phriends sale—an upcoming auction from Pharrell Williams’s auction house, Joopiter, on June 19 to June 27. The starting bid is unknown just yet— according to Vogue.

Mschf reportedly did not get permission from Louis Vuitton, so it’s not an official collaboration says NYTimes but since the bag is going on auction in Pharell Williams’s auction house it is kind of a perfect match since Pharell is the current Creative director of Louis Vuitton’s Menswear line.
