Men are Wearing Our Kids’ Socks, And We Have Absolutely Nothing to Do about It

It looks like ‘Happy Socks’ are back, and we have nothing to do it about now. Men are getting wild and crazy with their socks, wearing pairs in all the brightest colours and designs. The Bright Colour might not be an issue, but the details! From emojis, to butterflies and giant polka dots. Why would my man wear socks that are good enough for my 3-year-old? It’s sad.

And to insult to injury, they are pairing these socks with everything from dress shoes, sneakers and slides, wearing them to the office, beach and everywhere else.

However, fashion seems to in favour of this trend. After the ever stylish Italian men popularising this trend, it seems it can certainly work anywhere in the world. In fact, the days when the best way to wear socks was wearing none at all are also over. Socks are now long and bright, a style that can only be worn when pulled up.

South African brand Maxhosa makes quality socks with eclectic prints and patterns, the kind of elegance that makes the trend a bit easier to take in.

For now, we shall just watch on as men wear our kids socks, because fashion says yes.
