1. Martha Kay Holds Blood Donation Drive in Celebration of Birthday

On Saturday media star and content creator Martha Kay held a blood donation drive in celebration of her birthday. The event was held at Zone 7 bar and restaurant and saw many celebrities like Levixone come out to support the good cause.

2. Nigerian Idol Winner Is Crowned

Yesterday saw the finale of the much loved singing competition Nigerian Idol.

With thousands of hopefuls and a lot of talent, the competition started out with many singers eyeing the prize and ultimate title of the new Nigerian idol but there could only be one winner. And that was Progress.

The night started out with singing showcases from the eliminated singers plus the previous winner of the show Kingdom and also special music performances from D’banj and Simi, who have been judges on the show this season.

Closing out the night, host Ik Osakioduwa announced the much anticipated results, crowning Progress as the winner of season 7 of the show. The 21-year-old singer and church minister walked away with a cash price of 36 Million Naira among other prizes.
