Lupita Nyong’o the Kenyan star taking over Hollywood

The first time I saw this girl, I was taken fascinated by her beauty elegance and poise. It was shocking that a girl that beautiful was keeping it African while walking the red carpet for a movie premier.

Many of the African American girls in Hollywood have either lightened their bodies. It’s always nice to see someone who stays true to her roots.

The Kenyan actress Lupita Nyong’o has been creating a BUZZ in Hollywood for her performance in the movie 12 years a slave. The Yale School of Drama graduate bagged the role soon after her graduation and ever since then she has been burning the screens and the red carpets.

Some of you might recognize her from the Kenyan series Shuga. Lupita also produced and directed a documentary called In My Genes about the treatment of the Albino population in Kenya.

In 12 years a slave Lupita stars alongside Hollywood big names like Brad Pitt & the little Oscar Nominee girl Quvenzhane Wallis. The girl might even be up for an Oscar nomination.
