It Looks Like Biker Shorts and Pedal Pushers Are Back in Style

Pedal pushers/ biker or cycling shorts are officially back! If you thought you left these mid-length pants in the early 2000s, you were wrong, they are here, and the Kardashians are wearing them. I guess we all know what the Kardashian effect has on style. To be honest, Kim Kardashian and her husband Kanye West are to blame for the return of this infamous trend, thanks to the plethora of street style pictures of her wearing them sometime last year as she promoted the new Yeezy collection.

Now, if the ongoing catwalk shows are anything to go by, this might be one of the biggest trends in the coming months. Pedal pushers are calf-length pants often cuffed and worn tight to the skin.

Brands such as Off-White, Saint Laurent, Nina Ricci have already stamped their approval on the trend. Which means that there’s basically nothing to do now, the trend is happening.

If you happen to fall in love with them, take cues from Kardashian herself. Oversized layering; wear them with a tank/ tube top and layer an oversized jacket over the combo. Or, you can opt for a blazer to do the same. Kampala fashionistas Mwaj Ahmed and TK Berriez are already championing the trend, you might follow her Instagram for inspiration too.
