Issa Rae Surprises The Internet With Her Wedding Photos

We used to peep prolific director Issa Rae’s glittering ring, the ring on that finger, but since there was never a comment about it, or who gave it to her, we were in the dark. Not anymore! Turns out our favourite awkward black girl got married in an intimate ceremony in the south of France!

Her husband is businessman Louis Diame, who had been her long time boyfriend, however, Issa intentionally kept her love life on a need to know basis.

The Insecure creator and star over the past weekend made it official, and announced it in true Issa comedic fashion.
On her instagram she wrote, “A) Impromptu photo shoot in a custom @verawang dress.
B) My girls came to help me, but they all coincidentally had on the same dress! They were sooooo embarrassed.
C) Then I took a few flicks with Somebody’s Husband.

Big thanks to @whiteedenweddings for being so gracious and accommodating and making this feel so real and special.”

Their love is so private, people were even joking that this was a husband face reveal moment. Anyway, here are the stunning wedding photos!
