When it comes to attending weddings, sometimes mistakes are made, whether it’s over dressing or underdressing, being too vulgur or competing with the bride. When it comes to making sure there is no fashion faux pas, Lucy Smize is the professor! Let’s take a dive into her wedding guest looks and what makes them so bomb!
Stay away from white:
This should go without saying but wearing white to a wedding is a complete no-no(unless it is the dress code), because the bride will most likely be in a white gown and you will instead look like a deputy bride. Instead, opt for bright colours that compliment your skin tone so you can glow through and through!
Accentuate your best features:
Lucy never shies away from a chic décolletage moment; its the shoulders and neck for me! As well as a figure hugging gown to highlight her hourglass frame, we can take notes from that too! You may know all your insecurities from let to right but do you know your strengths? Highlight those in whatever you wear and you’ll be the guest everyone remembers!
Keep it respectful:
With the exception of a rogue slit here and there, Lucy keeps it classy and respectful by not showing too much. This isn’t girl’s night at the club, there will be more conservative elders in the midst, so there’s no reason to be the girl they all secretly point at and wonder whether she has home training. You know the girl, always in 6 inch platform heels, a tight tiny tube of a dress and probably drunk out of her mind; that’s not the impression you want to leave on your friend’s wedding.
Don’t be shy, Black works too!
Most people think black is too gloomy a colour to wear at a wedding, but as we know black is a classic colour that flatters almost any woman. Lighten up the look like Lucy does here with a ruffled detail around the top, and light makeup.
If you take these tips and apply them to your next wedding attendance, I guarantee you will glow without a doubt!
