Here are the hosts for Mirinda Miss Teen Grand finale

It kicked off with a lot of pomp and fanfare in May, the curtains will come down on the 2014 Mirinda Miss Teen Star search in the same style on August 16 at Kati Kati in Kampala. This year’s grand finale, the sponsors, Mirinda, have promised will be more exciting than the previous with a much improved show from the more than 20 girls that will contest for the coveted title; 2014 Mirinda Miss Teen Star.

According to the brand manager Ms Berna Kizza for only Shs5,000, students will be able to not only follow the proceedings of Mirinda Miss Teen but also be treated to performances from all the top female musicians like Irene Ntale, Fille, Sheeba, Rema, among others, comedians and dance to the music mixes by top djs; Roja and Mark. The MCs will be Sheila and MC Talha.

MC Talha has been the official MC for the tours and is one of the most celebrated youth MCs in town. Sheila Saltofte from Urban TV is also a power MC. She’s the official host of the Elyt Magazine’s themed parties.

Ms Berna Kizza, the Mirinda brand manager, said: “Over the last three months, the search for the Mirinda Miss Teen 2014 has been to eastern, central and western Uganda and individual schools in and around Kampala. Our objective was to engage with our core audience through Miss Teen and the experience has been more than exciting. We shall undoubtedly have a better experience than last year’s.”

Mirinda Miss Teen is an annual talent contest that aims at showcasing the great talents and characters of today’s teenage girls. This year’s theme is Miss Teen Star, and the search will be for a young, confident girl who has also excelled in numerous aspects including academics, sports, arts and leadership. The top girls were chosen from more than 150 schools.

“We have many activities at the grand finale for whoever will show-up and many goodies have been set aside for them,” Kizza said.
