In 1907 Winston Churchill, who was on safari in Uganda, was blown away, and in his book My African Journey (1908) he wrote:
“For magnificence, for variety of form and colour, for profusion of brilliant life — bird, insect, reptile, beast — for vast scale — Uganda is truly ‘the Pearl of Africa.’”
As Uganda turns 60 years today, let’s come together in celebration of the beauty of our nation. Ugandan creatives are doing exactly that, and we have proof. See below.
