Handbag essentials: 12 Things You Need In Your Bag

Every lady’s bag is her little trove with a number of little things to fix every problem that may pop up. So here are some of the 12 essential items I think each lady should have in their bag;

Ø WIPES.

There is nothing worse than having an oily face yet you have to meet a client or even a date later on in the day. It affects your mood and you won’t get that awesome picture that you want. There is no better way to avoid that situation than having wipes in your bag all the time.

Ø BREATH MINTS.

We all hate it when someone has to talk to us after eating tuna or even garlic because their breath is terrible. Don’t be caught up in such a situation. Save yourself the embarrassment and keep breath mints in your bag at all times. Bad breath is such a turn off.

Ø SMALL PACK OF TISSUES.

Ladies, there is nothing more attractive than hygiene and that’s why we need to maintain cleanliness and keep up our appearances. They come in handy when you spill a drink, or clean somewhere before you sit or give your shoe a clean touch. So make it a point to have a small pack of tissues in your bag.

Ø LIPSTICK OR LIP GLOSS.

Nothing will kill your vibe or shine like dry lips or cracked lipstick. This is expected during the course of the day so carry your lipstick or gloss to give your lips a touch after some hours.

Ø MINI SEWING KIT.

It’s in the middle of the day and you notice that your blouse is missing a button. Alas, you need to fix it before someone else walks in and notices your wardrobe malfunction. The mini-sewing kit will come to your rescue at this point.

Ø HAND SANITIZER.

You shake hands with different people, touch money, or even when we enter a taxi. For these and many more reasons, hand sanitizer is a must. It keeps you and anyone else you come into contact with from spreading germs.

Ø NOTEBOOK AND PEN.

Most of you will say that your phone does all this but when your battery dies and you need to write down an address or number? What about when you go for a meeting and you need to write down something. A small notebook and pen will come in handy.

Ø HAIR Pins.

Your hair is likely to get messy as you work or walk at any given point. You will find yourself overheated and need to pull your hair back. So always keep a few hair pains and bands in your handbag.

Ø COMPACT/MIRROR.

It’s very disturbing when you want to see what’s in your eye but you can’t. What about checking your teeth after snacking? If you have a little mirror in your purse, all this will be fixed.

Ø TAMPON OR PAD.

Ladies, we all agree that the worst thing that can happen to you is needing a tampon or pad but you can’t get any. You might not be the one that will need it but maybe the lady that you will find in the bathroom and is stuck. By keeping one in your bag, you will always be prepared.

Ø MOISTURIZER.

You might find a random patch on your face that is dry, and at times your legs or knees. How about the feel you get after washing your hands and they are dry? Having a moisturizer or baby lotion in your bag will save you all this.

Ø HEADPHONES.

Personally, I can’t do without headphones. There is a short video that someone has sent you and you need to watch and listen to its content. You will need headphones to do this without irritating the people next to you. I am a music lover and it gives me the company on those long rides or long walks to my next destination.
