Pharrell Williams, Louis Vuitton’s men’s creative director, kicked off Paris Fashion Week with an outdoor show at UNESCO headquarters on Tuesday evening. The runway, covered in turf, set the stage for the spring/summer 2025 men’s collection.
Louis Vuitton, renowned for its iconic damier patterns and monogrammed trunks, embraced a travel theme for this collection. The event featured a towering globe sculpture, rows of international flags, and the distant Eiffel Tower as a stunning backdrop.
Pharrell Williams described the collection’s color transition, “It went from black to dark brown, to brown, to light brown, to beige, a little bit of gray in there… and light beige, and then finally to white… It was a homage to human beings.” This show encapsulated the brand’s diverse design language in a universally accessible narrative.
Inspired initially by the upcoming Paris 2024 Olympics, Williams noted that the imminent French snap elections added a unique significance to the presentation.
The LVMH-owned brand attracted a crowd of 1,500 attendees, with fans lining the streets to glimpse celebrity guests such as Tems, Uncle Waffles, Wizkid, Burna Boy. See more below:
