Fashion Fierce-Off: Joram Muzira Vs. Peter Russell 

Fashion Face-off is back after a long hiatus. And, how about returning in a ‘fierce’ way? Our subjects today are fierce dressers, in fact you ever find yourself on the same red carpet as any of them, step away or you’ll lose all the attention of the Paparazzi to them.

Joram Muzira is the award-winning model coach/ agent behind some of the most successful runway models in East Africa. Peter Russell is makeup artist whose creative genius has been tapped by everyone from Spice Diana, Lydia Jazmine and almost every female celebrity in Kampala.

No wonder, they are such fierce dressers, nothing about them isn’t extra. They were attending the 2018 Pearl of Africa Fashion Awards last December at Imperial Royale Hotel.

Let’s dive right in

Joram

Bruce: This is what you should expect from Joram, he’s extra like that. In fact, if he walked the red carpet in anything less of this, I’d be grossly disappointed. I like the detail on his coat, it looks messy, but intentional. It’s comfortable as well (read giant pockets)!

Hassan: I agree with you, it’s made just for him. And he looks really comfortable in it. I just think the prints are all over the place. The patches around the belt area are quite unnecessary.

Peter Russell

Bruce: Peter is serving fierce drama. His ensemble is muted down, giving you chance to marvel at the detail. I’m particularly excited about the pleats on the side. And the skinny pants underneath. It’s just drop dead fierceness.  

Hassan: It’s evident that Peter was already in 2020 with this outfit. The asymmetry where the pleats are on the side is a genius idea. I however can’t fail to notice that it is a bit ill-fitting around the chest area after the first button.

Verdict

Bruce: Without thinking twice, I love Peter’s outfit more. It’s a thought that’s totally out of the box.

Hassan: Peter Russell takes it all away. Clean, polished and fierce.
