Bride: Kyomuhendo Ritah, a chef…
Groom: Farruk Muwanga, a barista
Farruk and I met at wild Coffee bar. I needed a new padlock, because I had lost my keys and so I had to break my padlock at home and replace it with new locks. I headed to work and reached out to my colleagues about it. Farruk, who was a work mate at the time, asked me about what had happened. I shared with him, like I had done for the rest. His response was different though!
He told me that he had an extra padlock, although I had to pick it from his home. He invited me to his home in Bukasa, Muyenga. Because I’m the kind of girl who wants an organised place, when I arrived, I cleaned the house, prepared some boiled food for him because that’s what he desired to eat that day. Since I’m a chef, cooking comes so easy for me.
Good enough, he liked my food. After, he joked about it, asking where I had been all along. I laughed.. He gave me the padlock, I appreciated him, before heading back home in Kansanga. That’s how our relationship hit off.
Engagement
He proposed to me last year on 20th September 2020, and we held our kukyala on 4th October 2020. We are set to hold our Kwanjula and wedding this year.
