A midwife, supermarket worker and train driver are “The New Frontline” according to Vogue, and we couldn’t agree more! The essential workers are on the July 2020 cover of British Vogue as a tribute to their sacrifice and relentless work in a tricky time.
“They represent the millions of people in the UK who, at the height of the pandemic, put on their uniforms and went to help,” Vogue’s editor-in-chief Edward Enninful said.
“This moment in history required something extra special, a moment of thanks to the new front line.”
The three women who are Rachel Millar (midwife), Narguis Horsford (train driver) and 21 year old Anisa Omar, who has worked at a supermarket through it all. The full feature will be out in the July Issue of British Vogue, with a 20-page portfolio of key workers.
