Bold In Africa is known for its regular “Bold Women” who they work with to make great images. Past bold women include the likes of Martha Kay, Nadia Matovu and Kemiyondo, but all stood alone during their month. This time Bold has come with a strong message, bringing together powerful women to have a joint voice echoing out the message of “Collaboration over Competition”
The campaign was started with the vision to inspire the next generation of content creators and different communities that together, we can go far.
With the bloom of the smartphone and internet in Africa, endless possibilities have risen, which have dared young people to dream bigger, to express themselves creatively and to enterprise. In 2015, Uganda was ranked the most entrepreneurial country in the world. However, most startups are only surviving, very few are thriving. They believe the need to profit alone is one of the causes of this dilemma. The mindset is not only outdated, but also stagnates growth, which in turn has negative effects on our economy.
The campaign includes incredible women like Rebecca Nanjego @rebeccananjego, Cate Ayellah @cateayellah, Rowena @rowenaa_l, Nyonyozi @nyonyozi1, Keezire @keezire, Fiona Kemi @fionakemi and Maya B Alinza @itsmayabee. They are content creators from so many different sectors of the internet, and each has their thing represented throughout the images. True to the Bold way of doing things, there is a series of photos on the way, so don’t relax with the photos you’ve seen now, the collaboration doesn’t stop there.
For now here is a video that shows the making of this collaboration.
