Who Was Best Dressed at The L.A. Premiere of ‘Black Panther’?

The year’s highly anticipated movie is just about to hit cinemas. On Monday evening, the star-studded cast of the movie put on a buzzy red carpet style show at the premiere of the movie in Los Angeles. Most of the stars paid homage to their African roots with their style choices.

Daniel Kaluuya, who plays W’Kabi in the highly-anticipated film wore a Kanzu (a linen robe) beneath his velvet Burberry jacket. David Oyelowo chose to wear head to toe Dashiki, while Chadwick Boseman, the film’s titular star, chose a black, gold and purple printed shirt.

Lupita Nyong’o, who plays Nakia, a Wakandan spy and the Black Panther’s love interest in the film, wore a custom Atelier Versace gown in royal purple — which coincidentally happened to match the carpet for the event — inspired by her character’s strength.
