At Some Point, Ayak Veronica’s Mum Joked About Sending Her to Juba To Get Married and Get Dowry Of 1000 Cows

Landing an international modelling contract isn’t a walk in the park. The same goes for getting scouted by the fierce Joram Muzira of Joram Model Management. But, it’s even harder to attract attention of big name designers when you land the contract. That’s why the story of 18-year-old stunner Ayak Veronica is quite extraordinary.

According to Muzira, it has been a long journey, where at some point the model’s mum joked about sending her daughter to Juba to get married so she doesn’t have to go through the challenges of carving out a career in fashion. The model agent took to his Facebook page to share the story.

Discovered at the age of 16 turning 17 in 2017 at the Ultimate Model search we did in collaboration with 40Models40days, Fashion256 & Photo4Fashion at MUBS Parking Lot on 21st April 2017, this beauty walked in with her Big sister Maryl Akol who is also a fashion Model signed to JMM together with Aliet Sarah (Another JMM International Model now) who had accompanied her to the casting after we had spent hours and hours scouting for models at the Uni during an open day casting call and immediately we saw her, it was a wrap for us that day in 2017 because her beauty and features were super strong and above all her personality and demeanor were to die for.

Just after we discovered her at the Model search and signed her to JMM- All major shows (Kampala fashion week, The ASFAS, to mention but a few ) here in Uganda loved her right away from 2017.

The development process of transforming her was the best experience ever shooting with an array of different designers, stylists, photographers, creatives and everyone that saw her loved her immediately.

I remember after we shot the KONA Campaign in 2017, one of her images went viral and it was among the most shared fashion images Worldwide ever attracting the biggest names like Tyrese, Alicia Keys all sharing it.

Upon turning 18 in August 2018, we placed her with one of the most powerful agencies in Paris- MARILYN MODEL AGENCY that looooved and adored her.

One of the most interesting bits was meeting her entire family and explaining to them that their daughter will be heading to Paris to start Her international Fashion career as a fashion Model and the Mum was scared and worried but later on understood what this could do for her life. The Mum joked about sending her to Juba and have her get dowry for 1000cows..lol

Ayak Veronica is a Humble Girl, super patient, down to earth and very determined in all that she does because she trusted the whole process and believed that One day her breakthrough will come!

Just 5 Days ago, we sent her off to Paris to join her Paris Agency- MARILYN MODEL AGENCY that had already booked an EXCLUSIVE for VALENTINO for her and couldn’t wait for her to arrive. First time her traveling to an international fashion Capital, she got lost at the Paris Airport and was calling her nonstop together with the Paris Agency to make sure she finds the way through…Lol AYAK!!!
Fresh from the Plane upon Arrival in PARIS, she had to go straight to meeting the biggest casting directors in the world and head straight to fittings and all! Many thanks to Marilyn Agency PARIS❤️❤️🙏🙏

I could go on and on, but all in all, GOD has prevailed and will always prevail.. It doesn’t matter where you come from to achieve a Dream! It hasn’t been a Bed of roses, aloooot of thorns along the way But Yes GOD IS GOD!!
