Anne Kansiime On The Hardest Part Of Being In The Limelight

She opened up during the Mona Makeup Masterclass.

The ever-smiling Anne Kansiime was a surprise sight on day 2 of Mona’s Makeup Masterclass. The comedienne took to the stage to be Mona’s muse of the afternoon, as she showed how to do a glam eye look. This was a different kind of makeup session because while other muses had been silent, Anne had a microphone with her and encouraged the students to ask her questions so they could have a nice chat as they had their faces beat.

As questions trickled in, we got to learn a side of Anne Kansiime that her comedy might not reflect. First off, what a boss babe! Aside from her entertainment spirit and hand in comedy as well as big hosting gigs like the recently concluded East Africa’s Got Talent, she also has her toes in the music business, with about 7 songs out, one who’s video we reviewed here (in case you forgot). She also has a tours and travel business and how she juggles it all? We might never know. She did credit having a supportive man on her arm for why everything was so much easier.

She wasn’t scared of the questions, urging the audience to ask more, however intrusive it seemed. Questions about her ex-husband came up, as well as her decision to pay her own bride price. Unfazed, she went on to reply that she was in love at the time, and instead of waiting till he could make her people happy with what she brought, decided to put up the rest of the money so that she could get it over with.

I remember people begging me to leave that blue lipstick…” She also mentioned makeup being the one way she could stand out as she has always been a bit of a tomboy.

She told us all this while being made up and sipping some bubbly at the same time so that the potential makeup artists how to navigate playful clients like Anne, and how to do a bright eye like she had.
