Ugandan football star Allan Okello is set for a major financial upgrade after completing a move from Vipers SC to Tanzanian giants Young Africans SC (Yanga).
The transfer package is valued at around $300,000 (close to UGX 1 billion), making it one of the biggest deals involving a Uganda-based player in recent years.

Under his new contract, Okello will earn a monthly salary estimated between $8,000 and $10,000 (about UGX 28–36 million). On top of that, Yanga has provided him with a fully furnished house, a car, and two return air tickets every year.
The midfielder arrives in Tanzania after an outstanding season with Vipers, where he helped the club win the Uganda Premier League and Uganda Cup, while also finishing as league top scorer with 19 goals.

With both silverware and serious money on the table, Okello’s move to Yanga marks one of the biggest steps of his career so far.
