Beyonce recently dropped her film, Black is King, which follows the stories of Black families throughout time and tells “a tale about a young king’s transcendent journey through betrayal, love and self-identity,” according to Disney +, the platform on which this film is exclusively published on. Ironically it isn’t available in many African countries, where much of her inspiration is clearly drawn from, but that’s a conversation for another day.
For now, let’s talk about the amazing ensembles which were put together for this piece, and kudos to Mrs Carter for eliciting the help of a couple of African artists & designers, as well as many more black owned ones. It is truly a sight to behold! Anyway, lemme no try to convince you, see for yourself!
