Achan Biong, Discovered in Kampala, Just Opened Valentino’s Haute Couture 2021 Collection in Venice

Ugandan – South Sudanese model @achan.biong has just opened @maisonvalentino’s Haute Couture 2021 collection in Venice.

The collection was presented under the name ‘Valentino Des Ateliers’.

“I have challenged myself in orchestrating a symphony of different souls, minds and creative inputs. All of these energies drove my vision to Venice. This city genuinely and spontaneously generates vibrations on art, theatre, music, architecture, cinema, and everything that has to do with creativity. That is why it has been a natural decision to go for this idea. I am a designer, a fashion creator and I need to envision my creations in specific frames. Venice is the frame of Valentino Des Ateliers collection” – Pierpaolo Piccioli, the creative director, said about the collection.

Two other models, @gibriligale and @angair.biong, Achan’s twin sister, also walked in the show.

All three models are signed to, and were discovered by @jorammodelmanagement in Kampala.
