Aamito Lagum and Rema Namakula Win Best Dressed This Week

Plus Hon. Judith Nabakooba and Kampala RCC, Faridah Mayanja Mpiima Make a Stylish Debut

I have never been this spoilt for choice in selecting what looks to add to this list. The CFDAs sure did bless us with retro, chic, artsy fashion that came in bold and bright hues (see all the looks here in case you missed the post), plus the fashion from State of The Nation Address which literally broke the internet, and of course, our usual Instagram stars who never disappoint. But, what to do, let’s dig in, shall we?

Our star, Aamito Lagum is representing us quite well in the capital of fashion. She attended a British Fashion Council event in a sheer cold shoulder top and matching pants. She added drama to the look with a stylish pink sash leaving us with no choice but to name her best dressed.
Rema ties with Aamito this week looking ever so splendid in this Kai’s Divo Collection flattering knit gown designed with a pompous rose petal sleeve.
Her choice to go with a short curly bob is a commendable select.
J’ Lo wowed crowds in this Ralph Lauren cropped top and train skirt at the CFDAs putting her enviable midriff on full display
Ashley Graham serves edgy retro vibe in this artsy body hugging midi-dress which featured puffy sleeves paired with black gloves
Supermodel Halima Aden exemplified epic style vis-a-vis the normative Hijab. She wore a Tommy Hilfiger burgundy coat, matching leather boots and a messy head wrap.
LaLa Anthony in a sparkly blue dress upped with fur and deep plunging neckline definitely added colour to the CFDA carpet.
Maria Borges looked chic and sexy in a neon mini dress matched with white strappy sandals at the CFDAs.
South Africa’s favourite media personality Bonang Matheba exuded boss vibes in this pumpkin suit paired with clear perspex sandals.
Fatumah Asha is daring brides with this gorgeous sheer bridal gown. I for one would have to jet off to an island with friends strictly, in order to rock it in peace.
Hollywood sensation Zendaya went head to toe in a one spectrum of red hues and we can’t get enough.
Michelle Omamteker, founder of Malengo Foundation looked radiant in a sleek Eguana Kampala kaftan accessorized with Kona jewelry.
Creative fashion blogger, Rebecca Nanjego was out to teach us a thing or two about how to wear a patterned coat and we are unequivocally taking notes.
Sham Tyra stunned in this black jumpsuit which featured an asymmetric shoulder
Red matala (light) means STOP and STARE at Winnie Nwagi in a ruffled jumpsuit.
Speaking of edgy retro, Tessa Thompson turned up at the Men in Black movie premiere like she was headed for an 80s pop disco party.
Vocal powerhouse, Sandra Ssubi posed with Levixone clad in a leather bodice gown adorned with a floral crown. Totally unexpected but beautifully put together.
Jhene Aiko’s CFDA awards look was interesting because of the contrasting designs on it. The pleats on the sleeves of the cropped top matched with the pleated skirt with an asymmetric hemline.
Kampala RCC Faridah Mayanja Mpiima made a case for modest formal style in this chic suit.

Esther Anyakun, District Woman MP Nakapiripirit looked effortlessly chic in her tropical print dress completed with a jacket.

You’ve got to love a politician who wears prints, and florals to be exact. Hon. Judith Nabakooba’s simple floral dress is a very daring fashion choice, which paid off for her. (Photo credit: The Newvision)
