A Face Scrub Straight From The Breakfast Table?
Skincare is notorious for being an expensive thing to undertake for the everyday woman. It has reached the point where some think you cannot look your absolute best if you don’t have a lot of money to blow. This week’s Beauty DIY is here to show you how you can make your own fancy face scrub from items in your breakfast table.
Face scrub is important in any person’s skin regimen… when it comes to taking off dirt, soap is simply not enough on its own to leave your skin completely fresh and clean. Sometimes, usually once a week, an exfoliating scrub is used so that you can really get into the oils, dust, makeup residue and get them out. The scrubbing motion also stimulates your skin to produce new cells so it’s basically brand new baby skin you’re dealing with.
Now to the good stuff. There are 2 recipes I have for you to try. You can use either sugar, or coffee grinds.
If you want to use sugar, honey, olive oil and a little bit of lemon. A small bowl can be enough for these ingredients and that would make enough scrub to last a week if stored well. That won’t even cost you shs. 3000 for this and yet you get all the benefits.
Next is coffee grinds. You can use regular instant coffee powder and coconut oil, or another oil of your choice, and then just mix it up. This can last you about 2 months, but if it looks/smells funky, feel free to get rid of it.
The point is you don’t have to stay there, skin tired and all; yet you could be enjoying your skin’s best life with things you use for breakfast.
