Cropped Tops for men are upon us

What? Yes they are! This midriff bearing trend is slowly crossing over to the men’s section. Over the past few years fashion designers have showcased men’s crop tops during their shows during international fashion weeks so it’s not really shocking to avid fashion followers. However this trend is slowly getting off the run way and getting into people’s wardrobes. And  Men to be specific.

On the runway

This crop top has a longer history in pop culture with celebrities such as Will Smith spotting it in his hit show TV Fresh Prince of Bel-Air a couple of times. Just recently rapper Kid Cudi wore a red number as he performed during Coachella music festival. This move championed the trend and now many other people are following suit. Photos of men wearing crop tops are trending on social media platforms such as Twitter and Tumblr.

This crop top is not for the faint-hearted though. While some of them show just a hint of skin others show pretty much everything. This means that one has to have a presentable tummy to start with.
