An Era Where a Face Mask is as Essential as Shoes and Socks!

We are headed into an era where a face mask is just as essential as shoes and socks. This might not necessarily mean that that this garment, which is said to limit the spread of covid19, is crossing into the realm of fashion and style. 

But, just like the shoes we wear, some prefer them black, while others opt for green, a face mask has to, at some point, become a fashion accessory. After all, even in time of crisis, people should not lose their sense of identity. 

There’s already a countless offering of  masks on the market; with fabrics ranging from denim to tartan and camouflage. Yasmin Kalule, a budding designer, recently took to her social media to share a range of masks with details such as African prints and sequins. She’s not alone though, Ras Kasozi of Kas Wear pivoted her business to cater to this new hunger for face masks, producing a range of stylish accessories instead.

As long as wearing a mask in public is mandatory, we just have to make it fun. Thanks to fashion, the idea already sounds fun. Imagine matching your mask with your shoes to save the world!
