Hi Satisfashion UG, I’m Martin

Hello Satisfashion UG readers and followers, I’m Martin Kagweri.

I have always had great passion for fashion, for as long as I remember. My fondest memory as a child is when my parents bought me matching striped pants and a jacket. I think I was about five years old. I was so excited that I couldn’t wait to show it off to my friends. I slipped into my new clothes and headed to our neighbour’s home to show off.

I’m fascinated by how fashion can change your whole mood, for the better or worse.

My passion for the creative arts goes beyond fashion; I love photography and magazines. In my form six vacation I started a fashion blog called Fashion Model Magazine UG. I hope to one day grow that little blog into a print magazine. Hopefully print media will still be alive then.

My other passion is modelling, although it has never worked out for me. It was a great experience though. I’m still open to it, should an opportunity come my way. This explains why I go by Matt Model on Instagram, my dream is still valid. (Joram Muzira, I hope you read this).

I also love food. I can comfortably say that one way to my heart is through a nice pizza.

In my free time I prefer to watch a good movie, stand-up comedy or browse through my Instagram feed to see what Justin Timberlake is wearing. I really admire how he has evolved into this classic stylish gentleman.

Away from this, I’m a graduate of Business Statistics from Makerere University, who just might be your next accountant. [Maybe]!

I’m excited about joining the team here at Satisfashion UG. It’s a media brand that I’ve admired for long. I am hoping to grow and learn from everyone. I’m glad that following my passion has led me this far, I’m excited about the future! “smiling emojis”.
