Yes, a fashion brand called ‘Owino Market’ exists, and we’re probably the last people to find out. We stumbled upon their Instagram account today, which was sadly last updated in January this year, nonetheless, we’re still convinced the brand is still alive and not dead like it appears on IG. Their feed is a whole mood, one that feels nothing like the popular market which is now known as ‘St. Balikudembe Market’.

Owino Market offers a slew of street style perfect jackets emblazoned with a number of African country flags, shirts screaming the brand name, a turtleneck sweater worn with a bulletproof vest, and lots more. From the little we’ve gathered about the brand, all their pieces are re-worked and recycled from what would otherwise be ‘bland looking clothing’.
