8 African Models To Watch Out For in 2018

2017 has indeed been a great year for African models. Grace Bol, Henrieth Paul and more walked the Victoria’s secret fashion show; Aamito landed the cover of Allure magazine and many more great things happened. We’re waiting for what 2018 has to offer. Which models are going to rule international runways? Who is going to land major campaigns and probably become the next big thing in fashion?

After consultation with model agents across the continent, we’ve selected 8 African models whose faces you’re set to see quite a lot in 2018.

Daberechi Ukoha-kalu

Mother Agency: Few Models Nigeria

Cape Town: Boss Models

This Nigerian beauty recently won a modeling contest hosted by Few Models, her mother agency. Her winninng package included a grand prize of an IMG contract. This fresh face is currently in Cape Town on development with her placement agency Boss Models.

 

Ayobami Okekunle

Mother Agency: Few Models Nigeria

International: IMG Worldwide

Ayobami was only just recently scouted by Few Models. She’s set to make her official debut in 2018 during fashion week and is certainly going to make a great impression thanks to her strong features (cheek bones and insanely long legs). She’s definitely one to watch.

 

Chinwendu Eyisi

Mother Agency: Zahara Management

Cape Town: Boss Models

Paris & Milan: MP Management

New York: Red Models

This Nigerian medical student managed by Zahara management was recently featured on Models.com as one of the new faces to watch. She has since gotten signed to MP Managament and Red Models after this appearance on the famous website. Chinwendu shows no signs of stopping, so we better watch out for her.

Mother Agency: Joram Model Management

Cape Town: Fusion Models

New York: Red Model Management

This South Sudanese model based in Uganda is one of the faces from the region to watch in 2018. After getting scouted through a model search done by Joram Model Management, the teen star has caught the attention of renowned model scouts in the region, and if it wasn’t for school, she would have made her international debut a lot earlier. 2018 is set to be a great year for her.

 

Ololade Ibrahim

 

Mother Agency: Raw Models Nigeria

Milan: Urban Milano

London: Select Models

Paris: Cover Management

After only a year in the business, Raw Models Nigeria already has a jewel to send to runways in Europe with Ololade’s first placement with Urban Milano. This has seen her making her debut at Milan Fashion Week walking for a number of renowned Italian brands. It has also led to her securing placements in Paris and London with respected agencies. This only shows she can bring to the table.

 

Chizoba

Mother Agency: Raw Model Management

Milan: Crew Management

Paris: Cover Model Management

She’s one of those of one in a million girls that possess every model scout’s favourite feature, the teeth gap. Chizoba from Raw started her development process in London with Milk Models. She’s set to make her international debut in 2018.

 

Bola Edun

Mother Agency: Few Models

Paris: Marilyn Agency

London: Select Model Management

New York: Elite Models

Few Models has clearly mastered the art of scouting in Nigeria, their recent rising star has to be Bola who is currently in London working with top brands such as Top Shop. 2018 is indeed going to be her year.

 Anyon Susan

Mother Agency: Crystal Models Uganda

Cape Town: Fabulous.com Models

When this beauty from South Sudan but based in Uganda left for South Africa to start a career with Fabulous.com Models, not much was expected since everything was done low key. She has however managed to attract the attention of huge brands there landing spreads for True Love, Elle and more. She’s set for big things, and very unstoppable.
