An Ode to Rema’s Dramatic Style Evolution!

Rema Namakula might not come to mind when you’re charting a list of fashionistas. Yet, over the years she has been quietly building rapport and morphing into her own force on the fashion scene. But, you’ve got understand why she never was a fashion girl.

Rema is very talented! She’s without a doubt one of the most gifted Ugandan singers to ever walk the surface of earth. She doesn’t need to make an appearance in a frothy gown for you to appreciate that. However, the entertainment industry doesn’t work like that. You have to sing, dance, instagram and also make headlines on the red carpet. Namakula followed suit. 

Armed with her arsenal of stylists (Posh by KC and Abbas Kaijuka), designers (HersUg, Dyna Vence, Fatumahasha, Kai’s Divo Collection) and Fayth Presh, her makeup artist, the singer is finally getting her seat on the highly coveted table of fashionistas. Her carefully curated concerts (which we love to refer to as fashion shows) are always a spectacle. All her milestones are celebrated with a stunning photo shoot in a gown or three. A few times she won’t get it right, but that’s okay. This, to her, is a fun experimentation!
