Your Guide to a Straka-inspired Halloween costume

By  |

Halloween is around the corner and as always Kampala people are in a frenzy. Its just another night where we have to attend themed night parties wearing those scary costumes. Have you gotten your ‘scary costume’? We have some ideas for you as you put it together. One thing though,  fashion has redefined Halloween  Halloween doesn’t mean scary anymore.

Straka Mwezi is a TV fashion icon. Her signature hideous fashion choices and hair raising hair styles have made her a house hold name. Her scandalous personal life is also one of a kind. I guess we all remember when she organised her wedding where all guests were required to pay a fee at the entrance. Straka is a scandal herself.

So why not look like her at Halloween. It’s the easiest look you can pull off by the way. All you need is to mix some of these hideous fashion choices.

1. Act like you are 7 years old

Pick up one of those primary school uniforms. You can have one tailored at Namaganda arcade. Fabric is very affordable and the tailors there no how to make nice school uniforms.

Match this with the whole combo. Stockings and flat shoes.

2. Hideous hair

This is the easiest way to look like this lady. Colored weaves and wigs in the most bizarre of styles. You are at the liberty to be as adventurous as you wish. From a fringe to wavy and curls – anything goes. Do not worry about styling. That hair is hideous and certainly goes with almost everything on earth.

This fluffy hair do is very cool in Straka’s world. In fact it should be favorite hair do. Why not choose it? You’ve probably seen people cheering the Uganda cranes rocking it. I guess you know where to find it.

3. Mismatched color choices

It doesn’t hurt if you have 13 colors all in one look. You can mix and match everything you run onto in your wardrobe. That is the Straka edge. You can still add heavy accessories onto the ensemble.

I guess you have picked some few ideas from Straka’s fashion. Please only try this out at Halloween. Taking this onto the streets will get you in trouble.
