You are water, keep hydrated

We are all hardly aware of what happens inside our bodies. Here is one, did you know that your body is 70% water? That only means one thing, your body needs as much water as it can get to function well. But before we get to the hard science, let’s start with what happens every day.

Why is water so hard to drink?
We’ve all been in this place, perhaps as a kid, you did take water at meal time because mum made it so. But as we start to live on our own and eat away from home, water becomes less and less of a favorite. How did this happen?
While in a restaurant, the world suddenly becomes your oyster and you feel that your tastes must advance from the simple things like water, so you have a soda or whatever else is in the fridge. The tasteless nature and clear color of water doesn’t favor it much. Assuming, everything else in the fridge enticed you more than water, this article is here to reveal the greatness that’s carried in the simplicity of water.

Signs you need water

Remember that quote in school, “water is life”? Well that’s exactly what it is. It’s what is carrying the blood that is coursing through your veins, which blood contains red blood cells that transfer oxygen to all the organs in your body, which oxygen is responsible for keeping you alive. Scientists say you can go a month without food, but not water.

For some people it may be take months to notice they’re deprived but for others you know you’ve reached your mark of dehydration when:

You have cracked lips, this is an obvious sign of lack of moisture in the cells in the lips and it’s important to note that swabbing another layer of lip-gloss will never solve that problem, you will only apply more layers but still have cracked lips, the answer is simple have a glass or two of water.

If you are constantly thirsty, it’s a clear sign that your body is saturated with something sugar or salt, and it is calling for dilution. Another soda will feel okay for about thirty minutes and you will be back where you started. For some people, the saturation gets so bad, and if the body fails to manage the sugar, the insulin collapses and that’s type 2 diabetes. If you’re really thirsty, have a glass of water.

You’re eating too much junk. The human body is strange, we all know that saturated fat is no good for us, yet once we go down that road, there seems to be no return. When you think of all the stuff piling up in your body, you’d know that all you want to do is flush it all out. That is what water was built for, to wash clean.

If you have constant headaches, you have to do damage control. The human body has limits, and when you start to feel pain, then you know that something is definitely not right. Many times it’s your organs screaming out for a bit of hydration, take some water and you’ll feel the difference in an hour.

If you’re constantly in the sun, the skin loses moisture every day, but more so when you are outdoors. So if you plan to step out and be out for long, take a bottle or three with you, it will keep your cells revived all day long.

How much water is enough?

The statistics for children are about a litre while for adults that’s two litres every day.
Since drinking water may become such a task, it’s good to know how you can spread this capacity throughout the day so it’s easy and enjoyable
Start by including it into your schedule at times when you’re not under a lot of pressure and some of the most effective times to drink water are;

Two glasses as soon as you wake up, or before breakfast. A glass at each of your office breaks and at meal time and finally one at dinner and at bedtime.

What a well moist body will do for you.
The benefits of taking water are unfathomable at a cellular level, but let me entice you at a physical level:
You will reap flawless skin, nice beautiful well moisturized and balanced skin. Fatty toxins will be flashed out of your body, it will be bye-bye to chirp lips and hello to supple lips and thick hair.
To mention but a few, you will feel invigorated because your body is better oxygenated. So have no fear, water is one of life’s treasures hidden in plain sight, you know this because it costs so much less than any of those colored drinks, it’s pure, it needs neither scent nor color,  nothing but itself to make you better.
