Have you ever watched a fashion show that was so moving, you shed a tear or two? This is exactly what happened last evening during Valentino’s Spring 2019 couture show where Ayak Veronica made her international runway debut.
Céline Dion, who is a lover of everything fashion and couture was moved by the show, she couldn’t hold back her tears. Here’s a video of the teary singer as she watched Ayak Veronica make her ground-breaking debut.
Meanwhile, she wasn’t the only one overwhelmed by emotions. British Vogue editor-in-chief Edward Enninful wrote on Instagram after the show that it was “Possibly the most emotional show [he’d] ever watched.”
Vanity Fair’s Samira Nasr, who said she’s “never been moved to tears at a fashion show,” also found herself welling up front row. “With all the hate and vitriol in the world today, I was moved to my core to sit at a show that not only celebrated the remarkable craft of men and women we will never know, but it also celebrated diversity,” she wrote. “We forget how powerful it is to see your likeness reflected back to you and celebrated.”
Trust me, just seeing pictures of this young model walk for such an iconic brand made us cry too.
