[Photos]: Go Behind The Scenes Of Our Ultimate Mother’s Day Giveaway Experience 

How did you spend your mother’s day? Ours was spent making Sharon Kanyange and her mum’s dreams come true – literally! Kanyange was the winner of the ultimate mother’s day giveaway competition we had last month. You can check out the announcement here, her winning entry here and all the entries we received here, in case you missed the posts.

After weeks of preparations, back and forth fittings and more preparations, we finally had our mother’s day prizes giveaway yesterday which was also mother’s day. It was a surreal feeling watching Kanyange’s mum getting transformed into a queen from the makeup session, to the hair styling, the gowns and finally the dinner.

We can’t thank enough our partners on this giveaway; Natna Natural Hair for the beautiful hair and Glitz by Nalu for the gorgeous gowns and accessories. In a special way, we would like thank Fatumah Asha for designing and creating the gown that was given away to Kanyange’s mum. The fit, cut and draping of the gown was pure perfection. She loved it to bits, and will probably wear it forever.

We also worked with Mona Faces who did the makeup, Giulio Molfese for the photography, Riders Lounge for the sumptuous dinner and Hanny Photography who documented these behind the scenes moments.

As we wait for the photos, allow us to engage you on all the spectacular and unforgettable moments we had yesterday.

We kicked off the day with a visit to Mona Faces’ Makeup studio located at Crane Plaza Kisementi 

We then headed to Giulio Molfese’s studio located in Kansanga for the photo session

She then slipped into her Fatumah Asha gown. What’s so special about this creation was, she was involved in the process of its design right from choosing the colours and fabrics to the design. 

They then got into more designs from Glitz by Nalu

Naturally, and because Fatumah Asha is such a genius, Kanyange was tempted to try on her mother’s gown. After seeking permission, she had her moment because a Fatumah Asha gown is not just any gown

After the beauty and fashion segment, we headed to Rider’s Lounge for the special mother’s dinner
