AirPorTaxi’ 808 music video will make you feel better

Uganda’s hip hop music is taking its place on the global stage thanks to some  players who are giving their products an icing of glam and great fashion. Talk about Ruyonga, GNL, Big Tril and Keko. Gone are the days when hip hop music meant boring rappers in baggy pants churning out lines filled with slurs. AirPortaxi is one such bunch of young stars taking it to a new level.

Their music video 808 has been playing in office all day today thanks to the genius playful use of clothes they incorporated in its production. It’s not the classiest video, the fashion is not the best too but the use of clothes in the video made us feel better more.

I have to note that I was exhilarated when I saw Martha Smalls dolled up and looking sassy. All their previous works haven’t been doing her justice. She’s a beautiful girl and can still be just that as a member of a hip hop group.

Rapper Tucker HD took it to a different when he wore a suit as he was sandwiched by models. Rapping has never been this fun. Not many rappers try to go this route. He looked good in it. He later changed into a black t shirt with a printed back. This was all on point.

The third member of the group Llyboc didn’t disappoint too in his open black suit. There’s always something sexy about a man when  his tie is loose . When he met with this lady in black lace – we definitely had to feel better.

The other thing that made us feel better were the models. You have to agree with me that we are tired of seeing scantily dressed video vixens gyrating abusively in music video. While these donned short 1920 maid uniforms, they still came off as modest and classy. I have to applaud their make up artist on this as well.

Martha put her make up video fun to a different level when she appeared all full of glitter. I have no idea what this meant but it was cool. We always love seeing people who think out of the box. While it reminds me of Lady Gaga, I can’t say I dislike it.

To close it all down, Martha went for stripes. Stripes are on trend you have to note. We can’t help fall in love with her lady like look. It will be nice if she keeps the dresses on forever.

The video has been on replay today thanks to the reasons above. Rappers and hip hop stars can also look good. Some times a lady has got to drop the base ball hats and pants for a more sassy lady like look. It always makes people like us feel better.
